Stim, Tri-Wave Light and Ultrasound

The Dynatronic System at Denver Sports Recovery can deliver up to five channels of stim, ultrasound, and tri-wave light therapy through both probe and pads all at the same time. All three methods are used to increase blood supply, massage muscles, and reduce straining to promote healing to an active body.

Stim therapy works by using an electrical current to cause muscle contractions. Contracting the muscle can increase muscle strength and blood supply to the area to promote healing. Meanwhile, the tri-wave light therapy can deliver any combination of three wavelengths of light (red, infrared, and blue) for overall stimulation and healing processes. The ultrasound stimulates the tissue beneath the skin’s surface using high-frequency sound waves. These sound waves are beneficial in helping the body speed up recovery time, decreasing pain by reducing swelling, and massaging the affected muscle and ligaments.
